In the culinary world, the art of creating delectable pastries is both a skill and a joy. Today, we present a delightful recipe for baked stuffed pastry that is not only easy to make but also bursts with exquisite flavors. This recipe eliminates the need for phyllo or puff pastry sheets, making it a hassle-free yet scrumptious option for your culinary endeavors.


  • 400 grams of pastry flour

  • 160 grams of fine wheat flour

  •  Pinch of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder (the secret to crispiness)

  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

  • Warm water for kneading

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Dough Preparation

  • Mix 400 grams of pastry flour, 160 grams of fine wheat flour, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.

  • Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and gradually incorporate warm water while kneading until the dough is elastic and no longer sticky.

  • Add a little more vegetable oil to smooth the dough's surface, cover it, and let it rest for 30 minutes.


1. In a pan over medium heat, sauté diced onions in a mixture of olive oil and vegetable oil until they turn golden brown.

2. Add chopped red bell peppers and let them sauté until tender. Increase the flavor by adding green bell peppers according to your preference.

3. Introduce 300 grams of previously ground chicken breast to the pan, followed by a squeeze of lemon for a tangy twist.

4. Season the mixture with a teaspoon of ground black pepper, a pinch of saffron, and a minced garlic clove.

5. Enhance the filling by incorporating sliced green olives and drained Chinese vermicelli, giving it a unique and delightful texture.

Assembling the Pastry

1. Roll out the rested dough thinly using a mixture of 80 grams of melted butter and vegetable oil.

2. Spread the flavorful chicken and vegetable filling evenly over the dough.

3. Roll the pastry carefully, ensuring a tight seal.

4. Place the rolled pastry in a preheated oven at 180°C until it turns golden brown.
